Brookside Cottage is in Shorwell, Isle of Wight, 2 miles from the sea. The village has many thatched and stone built picturesque cottages and a great pub, The Crown Inn, which dates back to the 16th century.
Whilst recently modernised, the cottage dates back to 1700 and has a delightful garden with a little brook. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and with double-glazing and central heating, the cottage is ideal for holidays and short breaks all year round.
We have just started our journey in sustainable tourism, including:
· An electricity supplier that only uses 100% green energy
· Promoting local suppliers, e.g. via our welcome pack & guest toiletries
Commitment to non-car usage via membership of IOW Car-free scheme & funding of ferry tickets for guests travelling without cars
