The South Hams of South Devon is an area of exceptional beauty and contrast with river estuaries, rolling hills and thatched cottages surrounding the lovely old towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Modbury and Ivybridge and pretty villages that abound in the South Hams district of South Devon.
Devon County Council
Devon County Council is committed to making Devon 'England's Greenest County'. Discover Devon Naturally is the county council's sustainable tourism project through which businesses are offered green business support, advice and subsidies towards joining the Green Tourism Business Scheme. The project has a number of microsites including www.naturallydevon.com which is devoted to providing visitors with everything they need to help them plan a greener holiday in Devon.
Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Project (CoaST)
CoaST is a tiny but vehement social enterprise working towards one planet tourism - ie a tourism providing benefits to the community, economy and environment of Cornwall and operating within our social, financial and environmental means. We are a not for private profit company limited by guarantee. We work with everyone involved in tourism in Cornwall to ensure tourism delivers social, economic and environmental benefit to Cornwall, as well as a fantastic holiday for all our visitors.
