compulsory section deals with GTBS minimum standards.
In order to receive an award level every member must
fulfil all relevant obligations in this section including:
• Sign and abide by the GTBS code of conduct
• Meet minimum standards and reduce risks such as for waste containment
and disposal
• Complying with relevant environmental legislation
• Continuous improvement
• Appointing a green co-ordinator for the site
• Supplying baseline information on energy, water and waste
• Have a customer facing green policy
Failure to meet the relevant compulsory measures
may mean a business cannot receive a GTBS award.
GTBS also reserves the right to set specific targets
for a business to bring its operation into alignment
with the general aims and ethos of the scheme should
any appreciable risks be identified.
